Forestry Apprentice aged 16-24 required to join our team based in Grantham. Applicants, must have a basic understanding of what is required of a forestry apprentice and be self motivated, able to work under supervision as well as on own initiative and be of a friendly outgoing disposition. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will be required to attend Brooksby Melton College with an end point assessment in order to complete the apprenticeship. This post covers a wide range of activities and involves the undertaking of outdoor practical tasks, in all weather conditions, all year round, it is also a very physically demanding role which requires someone with well-developed practical skills such and a can-do attitude. The work will often bring you in to contact with our clients, when you will act as an ambassador for our organisation.

Your duties will include general forestry work, driving machinery, tree planting, fencing, firewood processing, mowing, fencing, felling and any other associated tasks. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a high degree of practical knowledge and skill across the range of company operations.
Candidates must be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions, this is a physically demanding role.
Successful candidates must be able to work within a team, communicating effectively with other members of staff at all levels.
